Brandy Spain was born and raised in Southern Oklahoma. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Early Childhood Development from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Mrs. Spain has dedicated her life to educating children for the last 27 years. She taught for five years in a public school in Allen,TX, and five years at a private Christian academy in Lucas, TX. 

She and her husband made the decision for her to leave formal education and teach their boys at home when their oldest reached school age. She has spent the last 17 years classically homeschooling their two boys. 

Mrs. Spain loves to read, cook, eat great food, and garden – although ultimately, her true joy is spending time with her family. Together they enjoy a myriad of activities, whether it is swimming, camping, hiking,

canoeing, or just being snuggled in for the night playing games and watching great movies. She and her husband, Joe, are part of Grace Bible Church in Sherman, under Dr. George Cline. She is excited to begin this next journey of education at Tyndale Classical Academy.

Holly Hall was born in Seoul, South Korea, but was adopted as an infant by Texans, so she grew up on a small ranch in South Texas and feels Texan through and through.  She met her husband, Curtis, at Baylor University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  After graduation, she earned her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She worked in the field of international and domestic adoption until God called her to motherhood and homeschooling.  With the help of a fellow mama (who is also now a Tyndale teacher!), Brandy Spain, she established the Classical Conversations Sherman, TX community and led classes there for 13 years. 

Mrs. Hall is a member of Grace Bible Church in Sherman, Texas.  She and her husband have been married for 31 years and have three children who are all now grown.  Mrs. Hall enjoys reading classics (especially in book clubs!), watching good movies, going to art museums, attending plays, reading cookbooks (and sometimes cooking!), traveling, and having philosophical conversations with friends while eating yummy food.  She has seen the fruit a classical education brought forth in her own three children and is excited to be a part of Tyndale Classical Academy!

Amber Dunn was born and raised in Denison, Texas, and is a homeschool high school graduate. She holds an Associate of Science in General Studies and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Grayson College. Before obtaining her license as a Registered Nurse, she taught Pre-K and K–5th grade music at a local private school. Throughout her career, she has always enjoyed teaching, whether in a private school, while homeschooling her children, or by educating new nurses during her time in the medical field.

Mrs. Dunn has classically homeschooled her children for five years and tutored at a local homeschool co-op for three years while working as a registered nurse in both the hospital and home health settings. She has loved homeschooling because she considers herself a lifelong learner. “The love of learning is something I desperately seek to impart to my children and all of my students.”

Mrs. Dunn loves baking sourdough, reading, hiking, swimming, playing board games with her children, watching period dramas, trying new foods, serving on the worship team at her church, supporting her husband as he co-leads their life group, and, most of all, spending quality time with her husband, Bryan, their three children, and their myriad of animals. She and her family are members of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman. She is grateful for the opportunity to help nurture each child’s heart and mind, pointing them toward truth, goodness, and beauty while fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Rachel was blessed to grow up in a Christian home. Her father was a church planting pastor and her mother homeschooled Rachel and her four siblings through high school. Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Morthland College and her Master of Arts in Education, with an emphasis on curriculum and instruction, from Greenville University, both located in Illinois. After college, Rachel felt the call to missions. She moved to Japan, where she served for six years as a missionary teacher and later principal and administrator at a small Christian school in Chiba. She was blessed to have the opportunity to teach both native speakers and English language learners, design and write curriculum, and work in a diverse, multicultural and multilingual Christian community. Rachel also pursued a certificate in Biblical Counseling to help in mentoring students.

Rachel and her husband Trevor met online and got married in the fall of 2025. They are part of Grace Bible Church in Sherman. Rachel enjoys reading, writing, movies, hiking, cooking, studying Japanese, and tennis. She and her husband have a dog, Mikasa, and are excited to welcome their first child in December 2026.

Music has always been a big part of Rachel Sherman’s life. After graduating from Keller High School, she pursued this passion at Dallas Baptist University, where she earned her Bachelor of Music. During her time in high school and college, Mrs. Sherman was in the top choirs and competed at the All-State level.

Mrs. Sherman has been a private voice and piano teacher for 8 years. She is passionate about sharing the gift of music with students of all ages and views music as an extremely important part of life. God designed us to worship Him and music is a large part of that! 

Mrs. Sherman and her husband, Alex, have served together on the worship team at Sherman Bible Church for the last 9 years. She loves music, reading, and traveling. She also loves being a mom to her two daughters and is thrilled to see her oldest starting at Tyndale this fall!

Emily Hillger was born and raised here locally in the Texoma area.  She graduated high school from the small town of Tom Bean then moved to the eclectic city of Austin for her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Texas. A day after graduating from undergrad she started on her graduate degree at the University of Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. It is there where she earned her Masters of Physical Therapy, and, bonus, met her husband.  Her husband, Justin, and her have been married for 18 years and have 4 beautiful children. Emily has homeschooled their children classically for 9 years until joining in on Tyndale’s inaugural year last year. 

Emily and her family are members at Sherman Bible Church.  Emily enjoys being outdoors with her family, playing games, reading, embroidering, and cooking. She is excited to implement a new program into Tyndale this year called Equipping Minds.
